Treatment for Cluster Headache

Naproxen (Aleve) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and inflammatory mediators. While not a first-line treatment for cluster headaches, it can provide mild analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by decreasing pain and inflammation associated with the headache. Its efficacy in treating cluster headaches is limited compared to other targeted therapies.
