butterbur
Treatment for Cluster Headache
Butterbur (Petasites hybridus) acts as a potent calcium channel blocker and inhibitor of leukotriene synthesis, which may help reduce neurogenic inflammation and vascular reactivity associated with cluster headaches. Its active petasins are believed to modulate cerebral blood flow and decrease neuronal excitability, potentially preventing or reducing the frequency and intensity of cluster headache episodes.
