caffeine with pain medication
Treatment for Cluster Headache
Caffeine acts as an adenosine receptor antagonist, blocking adenosine's vasodilatory and pain-sensitizing effects, which can enhance the analgesic properties of pain medications like aspirin or acetaminophen. When combined with other pain medications in cluster headache treatment, caffeine can increase absorption and efficacy, potentially providing faster and more comprehensive pain relief by constricting cerebral blood vessels and reducing inflammation.
