electrolyte supplementation
Treatment for Cluster Headache
Electrolyte supplementation in Cluster Headache management primarily aims to restore ion balance and neuronal membrane stability, potentially reducing neurogenic inflammation and vascular reactivity. Magnesium and potassium supplements may help modulate neuronal excitability and calcium channel function, which can mitigate the frequency and intensity of headache episodes by stabilizing neural and vascular mechanisms.

I take 200mg of Benadryl, 600mg magnesium, a Zofran, and drink 2 packets of my favorite electrolytes in about 8 oz of water before bed. I usually wake up feeling soooo much better the next day.

Icepack on my neck, strong cannabis, Pedialyte Sport, and Nerivio. Food has never been a cure but I usually want something simple, oatmeal, chicken with rice, or ramen stir fry. I cook quite a lot so I usually have something I can whip up fast.

If it’s a salt and electrolyte issue, try pedialyte or liquid IV. Works for me almost every time.
