emergency treatment
Treatment for Cluster Headache
Sumatriptan, a selective serotonin receptor (5-HT1B/1D) agonist, rapidly constricts cerebral blood vessels and inhibits neuropeptide release, providing fast-acting relief from acute cluster headache symptoms. When administered subcutaneously, it quickly reduces pain intensity and associated autonomic symptoms by targeting neurovascular mechanisms in the trigeminal system.

Yes I went to the ER once for a migraine! I had missed my window to take my medication so I just kept throwing up. They gave me some drugs & fluids and monitored me, kept me overnight to make sure I was okay.

I have only been to the ER for an intractable migraine once. It didn't get rid of it entirely, and for the next day or so I took Benadryl around the clock.
