Treatment for Cluster Headache
Sumatriptan, a selective serotonin receptor (5-HT1B/1D) agonist, is used for rapid abortive treatment of acute cluster headache. When administered subcutaneously, it causes vasoconstriction of cranial blood vessels and inhibits pro-inflammatory neuropeptide release, effectively interrupting the pathophysiological cascade of cluster headache pain.

I was on it for a year, worked beautifully for 9-10 months, no side effects. It did burn upon injection but that was no biggie. I stopped taking it inly because it abruptly stopped working. No issues with withdrawal.
