Treatment for Cluster Headache
Sumatriptan, a selective serotonin receptor (5-HT1B/1D) agonist, is administered subcutaneously or intranasally for acute cluster headache treatment. It works by constricting cranial blood vessels and inhibiting pro-inflammatory neuropeptide release, rapidly alleviating pain and autonomic symptoms through central and peripheral mechanisms. The medication provides quick onset of action, typically reducing headache intensity within 15 minutes of administration.

Same here, the modified release have taken my daily migraines to one or two a month. Best thing my doctor has ever done for me!

My pain specialist prescribed it specifically for migraines when my triptans stopped working for me. I was wary at first, but the dosage is very low, and so far it has helped a lot.

If I have to open 5 bottles every day, I end up not taking my meds.  A pill organizer is the best thing I've ever bought myself.
