meloxicam

Treatment for Cluster Headache

Meloxicam is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, reducing inflammation and pain associated with cluster headaches. By preferentially blocking COX-2 enzymes, it provides analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects with potentially lower gastrointestinal side effects compared to non-selective NSAIDs.

Diet coke with a salty snack followed by electrolytes. I take ubrelvy or nurtec if I've got it (which is rare) but normally down a combo of meloxicam (my migraines cause severe muscle pain and tension) and sumitriptan.
