montelukast
Treatment for Cluster Headache
Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that may provide relief in cluster headache by blocking cysteinyl leukotriene receptors, potentially reducing neurogenic inflammation and vascular permeability. Its mechanism involves inhibiting inflammatory mediators that contribute to the pathophysiology of cluster headaches, potentially modulating pain perception and neurogenic inflammation in the trigeminal system.

I take propranolol, amitriptyline, singulair, and aimovig as preventatives. I'm certain the singulair and aimovig are helping. Not sure about the propranolol and amitriptyline, but I've been on them a long time.
