alprazolam
Treatment for Visual Snow Syndrome
Alprazolam, a high-potency benzodiazepine, acts as a positive allosteric modulator of GABA-A receptors, enhancing inhibitory neurotransmission and reducing neuronal hyperexcitability. In Visual Snow Syndrome, it may help mitigate sensory processing abnormalities by modulating cortical and thalamic neural activity, potentially reducing visual static and associated neurological symptoms.

Did it get better before lamictal and xanax?... These drugs are known to cause temporary relief so not sure if it is actual recovery, rather than supression.
