Treatment for Visual Snow Syndrome
Apixaban (apps) is a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) that selectively and reversibly inhibits factor Xa, a critical enzyme in the coagulation cascade. While not directly indicated for Visual Snow Syndrome, its anticoagulant properties may theoretically modulate microvascular blood flow and potentially reduce neurological symptoms by preventing small vessel thrombosis and improving cerebral perfusion.
