low glutamate diet
Treatment for Visual Snow Syndrome
A low glutamate diet aims to reduce neuronal hyperexcitability by limiting dietary glutamate intake, potentially modulating cortical hypermetabolism and neural network dysfunction associated with Visual Snow Syndrome. By decreasing glutamatergic neurotransmission, this dietary intervention may help attenuate excessive neural signaling and reduce the intensity of visual disturbances characteristic of the syndrome.
