lurasidone
Treatment for Visual Snow Syndrome
Lurasidone is an atypical antipsychotic with potent dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptor antagonist properties that may help modulate aberrant neural signaling in Visual Snow Syndrome. By targeting these receptors, it can potentially reduce cortical hyperexcitability and neural network dysregulation, which are thought to contribute to the syndrome's visual disturbances and neurological symptoms.
