Treatment for Visual Snow Syndrome
Lamotrigine, an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer, acts by modulating voltage-gated sodium channels and reducing glutamate release, which may help mitigate the neurological dysregulation associated with Visual Snow Syndrome. By stabilizing neuronal membranes and potentially attenuating aberrant cortical hyperexcitability, it can potentially reduce visual disturbances and sensory processing abnormalities characteristic of the syndrome.

Well in my case it only gets better when I take meds. If I stop them then the snow returns. But equally there are people saying they took medication in childhood and the snow never went away. So all I can say is it’s a bit of a risk for sure.
