propranolol
Treatment for Visual Snow Syndrome
Propranolol is a non-selective beta-blocker that acts by blocking β1 and β2 adrenergic receptors, which reduces sympathetic nervous system activity and cerebral hyperexcitability. In Visual Snow Syndrome, it may help modulate neural hyperactivity and reduce sensory processing abnormalities by dampening excessive neuronal firing and improving neurovascular regulation.
