Treatment for Visual Snow Syndrome
Lamotrigine, an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer that modulates voltage-gated sodium channels, has shown potential in managing Visual Snow Syndrome by reducing neuronal hyperexcitability and stabilizing neuronal membranes. By attenuating glutamatergic neurotransmission and potentially modifying cortical hyperactivity, it may help mitigate the visual disturbances and perceptual abnormalities associated with the syndrome.
